Call on Jehovah-Rapha in these last days!

Jesus said in Matthew 24:7 concerning the last days: "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there shall be famine, pestilences and earthquakes in divers places." Notice that Jesus said that there would be pestilence. All around us there is pestilence [disease]. And much of our diseases can be directly attributed to the commercialization and industrialization of our food supply through the Food and Drug Administration.

Have you ever stopped to think why Food and Drugs should be controlled by the same government agency? Perhaps it is because they are directly linked. For lack of time, I will give you one of example.

After WWII, the beef production in America became industrialized. In order to produce a bigger cow and thus more beef, they began feeding cows corn, whereas prior to the war, cattle was strictly grass fed. According to the documentary film, Food Inc., the rise of McDonald's and other fast food giants caused a demand for a greater supply of beef that essentially tasted the same no matter where it was purchased. The solution to the problem was to start feeding cows corn, which was/is heavily subsidized by the U.S.D.A. Farmers would get paid to grow corn. The excess corn has led to a variety of corn by products. They put it in our cars, in soda, in candy, in cereal, well everywhere. The only problem is that grass, not corn, naturally kills off the E. Coli bacteria in a cow's stomach. So, now we have a new problem with E. Coli bacteria being consumed by the American/World populous.

This leads to HUS (Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome), whose symptoms include nausea, bloody diarrhea, fatigue, paleness, swelling, and possible death. In order to treat this condition, they give the patient blood transfusions (which risks greater problems from contaminated blood), dialysis, and corticosteroids.

Corticosteroids can lead to the following side effects:

• white patches in mouth or throat.
• pain when eating.
• eye pain and vision problems
• rash, acne and skin problems.
• swelling of the face and lips. and
• Irregular heartbeat, to name a few.
  

All of these have to be treated with more meds. According to the movie, Food Inc., 1 company (Monsanto Seed) owns the rights to all the seeds. They genetically modify the seeds to put the pesticides in them. The problem with this is it breaks down the nutrients in the soil that help the body fight off certain types of cancer cells, and the cycle continues. The Agribusiness farms, seed company, and drug companies get richer and richer, while the poor are exploited for more money and get sicker and sicker.

Could this have been what Jesus was referring to? So what can a Christian do? Everywhere we turn, we are confronted with genetically modified food, mass produced chickens, pigs, cows, you name it. What can we do to keep ourselves well?

We must honor God first and foremost in everything we do!

Exodus 15:26 states, "If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give thine ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put "None of the diseases upon thee, which I have put upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord which healeth thee."

We must realize that some of the diseases being brought upon mankind is the judgment of God. Man must realize that he cannot continue to put himself above God and play God through altering the natural order of events which God Himself hath ordained and get away with it! So, we MUST seek to honor God and do what He has commanded us to do.

We are exhorted, "Whether therefore ye eat or drink....do all to the glory of God." We should strive to eat right and honor God with our bodies by not putting harmful substances, even foods into them. But above all, we must have faith in Jehovah-Rapha- the God that healeth thee - to heal us! We are told time and again that if we ask in faith believing, we will receive. We are told that when we seek him diligently with all our hearts, we will find Him. I believe He is still looking for a people to show Himself strong on their behalf, especially in these last days! So look to Jehovah-Rapha and not man to heal thee! God Bless! MARANATHA!
