But all joking aside, I feel that it's time to address the question, "Why are they using a rainbow?" I believe to answer this question, we must first look at passages of Scripture where the Rainbow is seen. First, we see it mentioned in the Book of Genesis.
I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud
|
And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

So, the Rainbow was first used as a sign of God's Covenant with Noah after the flood that He would not destroy the Earth or mankind again with water.
In Revelation 4:3 we are told that there is a Rainbow round about the Throne in Heaven.
And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

According to J. Vernon McGee in his "Through the Bible" Commentary, this is a scene from Heaven just prior to the Great Tribulation, and God is showing that as the prophet Habbakkuk prayed, in Grace He will remember mercy. So, the Rainbow here is again a sign of God's Covenant with the Earth, but more importantly His mercy upon the Earth and Mankind.
Finally, we are told in Revelation 10 of a Mighty Angel that comes down with a Rainbow on His Head.
And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

Here, again Dr. McGee states that the rainbow is a sign of God's Covenant with man not to destroy Him with a flood. So throughout Scripture, the Rainbow is consistently seen as a sign of God's Covenant with mankind not to destroy the Earth again with Water.
Yet mankind was given a responsibility with His Covenant. He was according to Genesis 8:17 to be fruitful and multiply upon the Earth. Yet, today....
THE RAINBOW HAS BEEN USURPED BY THOSE THAT WHOM IT IS BIOLOGICALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TOGETHER TO FULFILL THIS COMMAND!
Furthermore, we see a rider of a White Horse in Revelation 6:2, whom many believe to be the Antichrist, arise with a bow and a crown. Some suggest that this rider is Christ, yet the word for Crown is not a Diadem (Permanent Crown) but a Temporary Crown, because his conquest is for a short time. - Hosea 7:13,16 Woe unto them! for they have fled from Me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against Me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against Me. (16) They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
A true bow is made of water and sunlight. This deceitful bow is made of fabric. Hosea talks of a group of people that had transgressed against God and His Covenant, that they are like a deceitful bow. True Children of God are faithful to God to stand under His True Bow/Covenant, but unregenerate man has always tried to make his own Covenant and are in essence standing under a Deceitful Rainbow.
The Truth is that Satan is a usurper and a Counterfeiter. He has a counterfeit for everything God has made as an original.
- God made man. The Fallen Angels produced the Nephilim.
- God made a Covenant with Man. Satan offers Man a False Covenant.
- God has the Elect. Satan has his Apostates.
- God offers genuine conversion and salvation (His Wheat). Satan sows Tares among the Wheat.
- God has His Christ. Satan has his Antichrist.
- God has His standards. Satan has his new morality.
- God has His Truth. Satan has his Relative Truth.
- God Alone is Worthy of Worship. Satan wants to steal God's glory and get worship for himself.
So why a Rainbow? Simply put, it is the Deception of Satan blinding mankind to spit in God's Face choosing wickedness and abominations over the Righteous Standards of God and His Word. Even going to the point of flaunting it in public, and the Buildings of Government being painted with this Deceitful Bow.
BUT BE NOT DECEIVED! GOD IS NOT MOCKED! WHATSOEVER A MAN SOWETH, THAT SHALL HE ALSO REAP!
God will get the last say! First of all, this is simply another sign that we are living in the Last Days! Jesus said...
They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

Mankind continues in his rebellion against God, with false prophets giving mankind a false assurance of peace. Mankind continues to live his life in rebellion totally oblivious to the Wrath of God that will be revealed from Heaven against ALL UNRIGHTEOUNSESS.
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

"Effiminate and Abuses or themselves with mankind" is simply translated, "Homosexuals and Sodomites." You can't live in open sin and rebellion and be a True Child of God! And when you get right down to it, there are 2 types of people in this lifestyle: Those who have been abused and/or deceived or pressured into it by someone else, and Those who have willfully chosen it, while knowing the commandments of God. Those are in a far more precarious position, according to Scripture!

Are these people the willful pawns of Satan in his feeble attempt to replace God and Usurp His Glory and gain worship for Himself? NO! Many though have willfully chosen to forsake God for their own sinful pleasures, and some have been "GIVEN UP!"
OTHERS THOUGH ARE IN THIS LIFESTYLE AND WANT OUT! You know it isn't right but don't know how to escape! RUN TO JESUS! 2 Corinthians 5:17 still states, "If any man be in Christ, HE IS A NEW CREATURE!" YOU CAN BE FREE IN JESUS! I
I URGE YOU! It is becoming more and more evident that we ARE IN THE LAST DAYS just before Jesus returns! SO PLEASE FLEE FROM THE WRATH TO COME! Throw yourself at God's Mercy and by His Grace and Faith in His Son be Saved! Listen to the Words of John!
