Anniversary of Historic Event

Luk 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
Luk 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Luk 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Luk 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Luk 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

June 6-7 marks 42 years since Jerusalem was retaken by the Israelis. Many point to this event as fulfillment of Luke 21:24. Jesus had just predicted the destruction of the temple, Jerusalem, and the final dispersion of the Jews. And just as he predicted, it came to pass. He said, that Jerusalem would then be trodden down or occupied by Gentiles, until their time was fulfilled. Then He goes on to say that this generation would not pass until all was fulfilled.

Now, the number 42 is significant in many ways. First, a generation is usually about 40 years. Second, the number 42 is particularly associated with the Great Tribulation Period. The work of the 2 witnesses will be for 42 months. The rebuilding of the temple will take approximately 42 months. The reign of terror by Antichrist will last for 42 months. The number 42 is also associated with the rapture of the Church, which will take place about 42 months prior to the beginning of Great Tribulation, which is the last 3.5 years of the 7 yr. Tribulation period.

There are many other signs which point us toward the soon return of Christ.

The following is an excerpt from the Tamar Yonah Show blog, which is a talk show from Israel. She is talking about the decline of secularism and rise of orthodox judaism among Jews in Israel. Please read carefully:

"For the Jews however, there is good news… Israel is daily becoming more and more religious. One may not see it in the media and the leadership sitting in their ivory towers, but facts on the ground cannot be denied. There have never been more yeshivot and yeshiva learning in the country, and there has never been a stronger baal tshuva (returning to religious observance) movement in Israel. Observant G-d fearing Jews are gradually taking over the army, with HALF of the new combat officers in the IDF being religious. The education branch in Israel is filling up with more religiously identifying Jews, at the same time that those, still secular, are leaving teaching positions in the quest of finding higher paying jobs. And to top it all off, Haredi women are having 3 times as many children as secular women have. Many other religious women all over Israel are also having large families. My sister-in-law living in another re-settlement has 12 children, my neighbor behind me has 13 children and other families in YESHA easily have 8-12 children. In another phenomena, our kids are getting married earlier, they are not like their westernized parents looking to first get a 'career'. Half my daughter's classmates who graduated with her 2 years ago, already opted to get married and not wait. Many want to go to new hill tops and raise lots of children! It's a different head-set that we from the West are used to. Think how these facts on the ground and our next generation are changing the country, and what it will look like in the near future. So, regarding the die-hard Seculars, the Post Zionists, and the self-hating Jews, they are actually on the decline. The future is almost here, and it looks like it's going to be a Jewish one!"

How is this significant? This means that more and more Jews are looking for Messiah to return. Israel is being regathered from the four corners of the Earth to THE LAND just as Ezekiel prophesied. And Christ will be revealed as Messiah to these Jewish people. FURTHERMORE, THE WORLD HAS TURNED ITS BACK ON ISRAEL AGAIN! Just recently, an Obama administration official laid out a plan for the invasion of Israel. THESE ALL POINT TO ONE THING, THE TIME OF THE END IS UPON US!

I do believe that Christ's return is very near. The Rapture of the Church is near. So, keep praying and watching! Be steadfast and unmovable, and win others to Christ while there is time, b/c time as we know it may well be running out!
