The New World Order, the Apple of God's Eye, and Peace in the Middle East

Deu 32:9 For the LORD'S portion [is] his people; Jacob [is] the lot of his inheritance.
Deu 32:10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
Deu 32:11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
Deu 32:12 [So] the LORD alone did lead him, and [there was] no strange god with him.
Deu 32:13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;


Warning: This may or may not sit well with some of you. I'm in no way saying that our new President is the Anti-Christ, I'm only saying that the Spirit of Antichrist is alive and well. If you are saved and looking for the Lord's imminent return, read on!

On January 7th a video appeared on You Tube with Fmr. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger calling on Obama to create a New World Order.

Henry Kissinger says:

“The president-elect is coming into office at a moment when there is upheaval in many parts of the world simultaneously… … “You have India, Pakistan; you have the jihadist movement. So he can’t really say there is one problem, that it’s the most important one. But he can give new impetus to American foreign policy partly because the reception of him is so extraordinary around the world. His task will be to develop an overall strategy for America in this period when, really, a new world order can be created. It’s a great opportunity, it isn’t just a crisis.”

The first President Bush in 1989 at the outbreak of the first Gulf War was the first to use the term, New World Order. It has been used many times since by politicians from around the globe. Everyone from Fmr. Sen. Gary Hart to Fmr. Russian PM Mikhail Gorbachev to current VP Elect Joe Biden have used the term, even calling on the world to come together in a New World Order. The first question this begs is what is exactly meant by the use of the term, New World Order. Is it a realignment of nations for diplomatic purposes? Is it an actual One World Government? Is it a world of borderless nations with one currency, one military, and one religion?

Furthermore, our outgoing President came up with what is known as the Road Map to Peace, calling for a 2 state solution to the Palestinian/Israeli conflict, and even goes as far as calling for the redivision of Jerusalem. The possible new Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, today called for "smart power" in seeking peace in the Middle East. She went on to say, that we must "work even harder to ensure...indepence for the Palestinians in their own state."

So, what does this mean for Israel and Christians and those opposed to both the notion of a "New World Order" and dividing of Jerusalem? Well, before we delve into this, we must pause a minute and catch our breath....

Ok! What does the Bible say concerning a New World Order and Government? Will it come? I believe it is coming. There will be a One World Government with One Currency, One President/Dictator, One Military and One Religion. It is seen throughout Scripture from Daniel to Revelation. It is coming, and I don't believe we as Christians can or should try and stop it. We just need to preach the Gospel at all costs until Christ returns!

As for Peace in the Middle East and the Division of Jerusalem, this is prophesied as well.

Dan 9:23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew [thee]; for thou [art] greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.
Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, [that] from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince [shall be] seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof [shall be] with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Now, we must explain this prophecy of 70 weeks. The term, "weeks," actually means "weeks of years," or "490 yrs." These yrs. are prophetic and determined upon God's original people Israel. Daniel says that after 69 weeks or 483 years, Messiah will be cut off. 483 years to the day from the Decree given Nehemiah by Artaxerxes to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem, Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey, as prophesied by Zecheriah and was cut off. From there the prophecy goes on to the remaining 7 years.

Now let me interject here that we've been in a divine parenthesis, as described in Romans 11, known as the Church age or the Times of the Gentiles. Israel rejected and was rescattered; God has grafted us Gentiles into the vine; but He hasn't cut off Israel forever and will deal with her again when the "fullness of the Gentiles has come in."

So there are still 7 years remaining to be determined upon Israel. 1 more week of years! The Antichrist, according to the prophecy will confirm a Covenant with Israel for 1 week (7 yrs.). In the middle of that week, however, he will break that covenant. Daniel 7 tells us that he will speak blasphemous words against God, and he will enter the rebuilt temple and declare that he himself is God. But take heart! The Ancient of Days will then return and destroy Antichrist and his kingdom, and replace it with His own, which will last forever!

However, we can see the world clamoring for a leader. Just this week, Muslim leaders in the U.S. have stated that an Obama Presidency is going to be great for them, and "now is their time as Muslims." Leaders from around the globe are looking for a leader to unite them. As spoken of in my previous post, if Russia, Iran and some African nations were to come against Israel, and be destroyed, it would create the perfect storm and power vaccuum for the Man of Sin to step into and be revealed.

Could it be that this group working for the establishment of a New World Order is also pushing the Road Map to Peace? Could it be that we are on the brink of Daniel 9's 70th week beginning? It isn't hard to see a 7 yr. peace agreement being offered to the Jews and Muslims. In fact, the longest peace agreement that a Muslim Nation can enter into happens to be 7 yrs. As we can see, prophecy is being fulfilled and the times of the Gentiles is coming to a close.

So what about Christians and Jews?

I believe that the true church will be raptured out prior to this event taking place. 1 Thessalonians tells us that we are not kept for a day of wrath. We shouldn't try and stop a New World Order from happening, we should get excited that it is! Our redemption is drawing nigh!

As for Israel, they are still the Apple of God's Eye, and God will divinely protect her during the 7 years, which are yet to be determined upon her. When nations attack Israel, they are poking God in the eye, and provoking Him to wrath. Furthermore, Zechariah 12:3, for whom this blog is named, tells us that God will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for the nations, all the nations will come against it, and all who do will be cut to pieces.

As Christians, we must constantly pray for the peace of Jerusalem. In doing so, we are ultimately praying for the coming of Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. It is only when he returns that true peace will be realized! Just remember, God is on the throne, and everything is working out according to His plan and purpose. Be strong and of Good Courage in these Last Days!
