A God of Order

Scripture teaches us that God is a God of Order and design. From the beginning of Creation, He set the world in motion with mathematical precision and intelligent order. In the Church Age, he admonishes us, "Let everything be done DECENTLY and IN ORDER." God doesn't want ANY confusion among His people about ANYTHING that He Sovereignly chooses to do! From the Gifts of the Spirit (there is an order they are to be done in, especially tongues, which was not to be done in a corporate service without an interpretation so the whole Body can receive edification) to the return of Christ (He tells the Thessalonians, "That day should not overtake you as a thief."), Everything, even in the way that we do them, is to point others to Christ and bring glory to this God of Order and Design whom we serve!  It is to NEVER bring confusion because Satan and not God is the Author of that!

In fact, Creation Scientists have coined a term in order to go more mainstream and get their views taught alongside evolution in the Public Schools, and that term is "Intelligent Design." I like that because our God is a God of Intelligent Design! When He spoke the worlds into existence, He created them with lights and laws to govern them from their beginning to their ending. In fact, on Day 4 of Creation God set into motion His timetable and prophetic calendar, which He has PROGRESSIVELY REVEALED to mankind, and it will culminate in a Kingdom Age with Christ seated on the throne of David in Jerusalem.

In Genesis 1:14, "Then God said, 'Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and LET THEM BE FOR SIGNS and seasons, and for days and years." The HCSB renders this verse, "...they will serve as signs for festivals and days of years." And the NLT renders it, "...let them be for signs to mark the seasons."  When we fast forward to Sinai, we realize further what this meant.  They were given a lunar and not a solar calendar, by which God Himself still operates. Just as God worked for 6 days and rested on the 7th at creation, they were to work 6 days and rest on the 7th. Likewise, they were to work 6 years and rest the 7th year, letting the fields rest and go unplanted, the debts would be cancelled and the slaves would be set free. Because they didn't keep these Sabbaths, they went into exile for 70 years in Babylon, one for every Sabbath year they failed to keep.  They were to plant their crops and celebrate their feasts by this calendar, and according to schedule, God's prophetic plan was fulfilled in the first 4 of these Feasts down to the very day!  

Jesus was crucified on Passover (Nisan 14). He was buried on Unleavened Bread eradicating our sin. He rose on Firstfruits, become the firstfruits of our Resurrection. And the Holy Spirit was given on Pentecost, when 2 loaves were being offered signifying that 2 men (Jew and Gentile) were now becoming one! 

The last 3 are yet to be fulfilled but soon will! Jesus will return to catch away His Bride during Trumpets; the Jewish people will endure a Great Tribulation fulfilled by the Day of Atonement when a nation turns to Christ in a Day; and the Feast of Tabernacles will be fulfilled in the Kingdom Age when Christ tabernacles again with His people!

But how will we know when we are getting close so "That Day doesn't overtake us as a thief?" Jesus gave us prophetic indicators. He said in Luke 21:24, speaking of the impending destruction of the Temple, "And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations, and Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles UNTIL THE TIMES OF THE GENTILES BE FULFILLED!" Just as Jesus predicted/revealed, Jerusalem was trodden down by Gentile Rule for 1900 years until June 5, 1967, when the Temple Mount came back under Jewish Control. Jesus said, in Luke 21:32-33, "Assuredly, i say to you, this generation will by no means pass away until all is fulfilled. Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but My words will by no means pass away." 

 
Jesus said the generation (usually 40 or 70 years) would not pass away until ALL was fulfilled!

Jesus said there would be distress of nations in these last days (Luke  21:25), and there would be signs in the Sun, Moon and Stars.  
Joel 2:30-31, which Peter equated with the Last Days (Acts 2:17-21), states, "And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth; blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood BEFORE that great and terrible day of the Lord." Listen to how Acts 2:19-20 read in the NLT, "And i will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below- blood and fire and clouds of smoke. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red BEFORE that great and glorious day of the Lord arrives."

Friends, we are in the midst of a rare Blood Moon Tetrad (4 consecutive Blood Moons), which coincide with 4 consecutive Feasts of the Lord, in the midst of which will be a solar eclipse also coinciding with a Feast of the Lord! And this is happening to this generation which is promised the fulfillment and restitution of all things!  Is this coincidence or is it a God of Order showing us His precision and Sovereignty through prophetic fulfillment?

• Israel was restored as a nation (May 14, 1948).
• Jerusalem was restored as the capital of Israel (June 5, 1967).
• There has been an awakening to eschatology and the books of Daniel and Revelation, which were sealed until the time of the End (Daniel 12:4).
• There has been a knowledge explosion and the nations are in distress.
• ISIS and Radical Islam are on the Move.  The map is being redrawn as I write.
• The economies of the world are in crisis and currency in collapsing.

THIS ALL SCREAMS, "Look up, lift up your head! Your redemption draweth nigh!" Jesus could come at any moment.   How close are we? I believe we're close! But I know that the world as we know it ends for someone every day! Are you ready to meet Jesus? Have you surrendered to His lordship? Are you a follower of Jesus Christ?  If not call on the Lord today! Turn from your sins and turn to Him as Savior!
