The Economic Disparity of the Last Days

James 5 describes how in the last days, the rich will get richer at the expense of the working class.  In fact, verse 4 accuses the rich of holding back the wages of those who had reaped their fields by fraud.  And verse 3 says that they had "heaped up treasures for the last days." So, in other words, one of the circumstances of the last days will be that there will be a great divide to develop as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer due to the unfair practices of those in power.

Revelation 6:5, 6 describes a rider of a black horse with an unbalanced scale.  The scale once again is tipped in favor of the rich as it will take a days wage just to get a meal to eat, while the rich will continue on in luxury thus the statement, "touch not the wine and oil."

·         "Touch not the oil & wine" indicates that necessities for the poor will be scarce but the rich will have no shortages of luxuries. ~Chuck Missler

And we have seen this disparity take place since 1913 and the beginning of the Federal Reserve.  In fact the purchasing power of the dollar is now worth a measly $.05 of what it was worth in 1913, and it's had an affect. Consider the following:

a.        The purchasing power of the dollar is worth about $.05 of what it was worth in 1913 when the Federal Reserve began.
b.        It now takes 2 salaries to purchase what one would prior to WWII.
c.        Men have awakened in retirement to find they had to go back to work b/c their money wasn't worth enough to live off of.
d.        We promise people a Utopia of endless prosperity but deliver them hardship and slavery through indebtedness and unemployment.

And it's taken a toll.  Many well meaning men and women have awoken to this sad state of affairs.

·         We send jobs overseas to avoid paying the workers a fair wage here.
·         We allow Christians and poor overseas to be exploited for the gain of the Multinational corporations benefitting from the unfair tax codes, Trade Agreements, and corporate loopholes.
·         We promise foreign nations to pay back loans and we pay them back by printing up more money offering worthless paper in exchange for goods and services.

But God is keeping good records.  The cries of the laborers of the field are coming up into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth (armies).  He will get the last word.  So if you have been hurt already by the economic policies of these last days, take courage.  Trust in the Lord! He has not forgotten and will not forget you! He will not leave you hungry or begging for bread! Your reward is coming ...and so is theirs!  Maranatha!
