The Mark of the Beast

The Following Passage is kind of lengthy, but it is important to read all. We are living in days that are very close to this event taking place. We could see this in our lifetime!!!

Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as [the feet] of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Rev 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who [is] like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty [and] two months.
Rev 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Rev 13:9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
Rev 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
Rev 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Rev 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.

There are 2 beasts described in this passage, one from the sea and one from the land. Now, the Beast from the Sea, corresponds directly to Daniel chapter 7. Daniel saw the sea of Gentile nations roaring and a beast coming out of it. The beast was a conglomoration of all the major world empires that Daniel had already forseen. And out of this last empire came a little horn that spoke blasphemies and made war with the Saints. He was given power to overcome the saints for 42 months (3.5 yrs.). He exalts himself above God and makes it illegal to worship anyone or anything but himself. This is pretty self-explanatory in the first 10 verses.

This first beast is Antichrist. He will sign a 7 yr. treaty with Israel at the first of the 7 yr. Great Tribulation period. Midway through that 7 yr. period, he will be wounded in the head and appear dead. Some Bible scholars believe he will die. After which, the Devil will pull off a counterfeit resurrection and raise him to life. He will then be the 2nd person in history to have Satan possess him, Judas Iscariot was the other.

Then John says another beast arises, this one out of the land or the earth. He will cause everyone to do two thing: 1) worship the image of the first beast, and 2) receive a mark in their right hand or forehead, without which no one may buy or sell. Now, both of these stunts could be pulled off today. With computer generated images, it would not be impossible to project a hologram of some sort into the living rooms of citizens of the world and cause all to worship this Antichrist, with the masses being duped into believing that he was omnipresent just like God.

As for the 2nd part, I would not have thought it possible 10 years ago like today. The mark is both an economic mark and religious mark. It is to buy and sell as well as to declare your allegiance to Antichrist. It isn't hard to imagine in today's economic conditions, the government coming along and declaring that cash and currency haven't worked. Furthermore, with the massive debt that we now owe to international bankers, our country, which is the last barrier to a one-world government and economy, is for all intents and purposes broke. Thanks to our President and Congress and their recent "stimulus" bill, we now owe more money than the collective Gross Domestic Product of every country in the world.

What if the international bankers called the loans? What if the government and local banks called all of their loans? What if then they gave the option, we'll forgive your debts if all you do is let us take a computer chip and put it into your right hand or forehead? That way, there would be no more identity theft and fraud. Furthermore, children could be tracked and there would be fewer Amber Alerts. It would make perfect sense, and most people would swallow it hook, line and sinker. What if they then said, if you don't owe anything, you don't have to participate in the "new system," but if you don't, you won't be able to buy or sell, and you'll be treated with suspicion for your lack of loyalty to the government?

Like I said, 10-15 years ago, this all seemed far fetched, but we are living there now friends! You might be thinking, "What about 666?" The Bible is clear on this, it is the number of a man. I believe that the name of the Antichrist will add up to 666 in numerology. The number 666 is two fold. It is the number 6, which is the number of man 3 times. 3 is the number for God. In other words, this world leader will set himself up as a god-man. He will try to usurp God's position and glory, just as Satan has always tried to do. Yet he will fail. The most perfect number is 777, and 666 falls short every time. God will always prevail!

Furthermore, this mark of allegiance could be based on the number as well. After all, the UPC code on everything you buy is already based on the number 666. The next chapter tells us that all who receive this mark will get a sore that lasts for 5 months. Well guess what. If these chips are operated by a lithium battery, guess what happens, if you get lithium on or even under your skin? Absolutely, you can get a horrible sore. BTW, they're already putting these devices in animals and criminals to track them. The next logical step is to put them in everyone. The sad thing is that all who receive the mark will be doomed for eternity. People in that day, which might be closer than anyone wants to think, will be forced to choose, God or Mammon!?!

So, I've said all that to say this, we must stand for truth in this day of deception. We're living at the threshold of eternity, yet most in the church are asleep. It is time to awaken out of our slumber and adorn ourselves for the Bridegroom is coming! Christ is coming, and we must be ready! If you're not ready to meet Him, get ready! And if so, help others to get ready as well. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus!
