WAKE UP!!!

In Matthew 25, verse 1-13, we have a parable concerning the Kingdom of God and the return of the Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus.  As His Church, we are the Bride of Christ, and He is our bridegroom.  We are in the interval between where He has gone to the Father's House to prepare a place for us, and when He'll return to call us home to be with Him in the Father's House (John 14:1-3). During this time we are to watch and be ready, for in such an hour as we think not, HE WILL RETURN!

The Parable, tells us that there were 10 virgins awaiting the return of the Bridegroom. Five were wise, because they had oil in their lamps, which is symbolic of the Holy Spirit.  Five were foolish because they had no oil, which is a picture of dead religion apart from the powerful inner working of the Holy Spirit.  HOWEVER, the saddest verse in Scripture, perhaps, is verse 5 of Matthew 25, which states: "WHILE THE BRIDEGROOM TARRIED, THEY ALL SLUMBERED AND SLEPT!"

How can this be, that even the wise, the saved, the Spirit-filled believers would be asleep?  Several factors can attribute.  Jesus said in Matthew 24:12, "And because iniquity [literally lawlessness] shall abound, the love of many will grow cold."

LAWLESSNESS IS RAMPANT!!!

• We're legalizing and legitimizing perversion (sodomy, gay marriage, etc.)!
• We're rationalizing and decriminalizing murder and bloodshed (Abortion)!
• We're encouraging immorality welfare state!
• We're incentivizing laziness through our welfare state as well!
• We've lost respect for human life and personal property!

Because of these and others, even the Church has lost its compassion for others!

• We don't extend our hand to the poor!
• We don't do it to "the least of these!"
• We're bogged down in partisan, political and petty bickering within the body!
• We're not fulfilling the Great Commission!
• We're not speaking the truth in love!
• We're not being salt and light to our community!
• WE ARE ASLEEP!!!!

IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP!!!

• The Middle East is on fire with the Muslim Crescent!
• Ezekiel 38-39 read like the morning Newspaper!
• We're nearing the end of the generation that saw the Fig Tree Bud!
• The Times of Gentiles are coming to a close!
• We are hearing of wars and rumors of wars!
• There are pandemics of pestilence breaking out everywhere!
• The waves of the sea are roaring!

PEOPLE GET READY; JESUS IS COMING; SOON, WE'LL BE GOING HOME!!!

Friends, I believe our time is short! We must trim our lamps; Die to self; and Be filled with the Spirit! We must work the works of Him while it is day.  We must get serious about the Great Commission and redeeming the time for the days are evil! OUR BLESSED HOPE COULD BE FULFILLED AT ANY MOMENT! I leave you with the words of Matthew 25:6, "Behold, the Bridegroom cometh! Go ye out to meet Him!" ARE YOU READY? IF NOT, GET READY & HELP GET SOMEONE ELSE READY! MARANATHA!!!
